About Marina District Pet Care
Marina District Pet Care is a team of hard working and dedicated pet professionals, fully insured buy the nationally recognised Pet Sitters Association. They offer a variety of pet care services for residents within the Westshore Marina District and the surrounding South Tampa area. Their pet services include dog walking, transportation, pet sitting in your home and pet boarding in our home. We have several properties for boarding with secured fenced in backyards for your pup’s safety and enjoyment.
Founder, Alena, exited the corporate life in 1999. She then started Marina District Pet Care and is proud to have hand selected and trained her team to maintain the same high standards of love and care that you display for your pet(s). You can rest assured that our staff are well trained, have passed relevant background checks and are CPR and First Aid Certified.

Meet Alena
Marina District Pet Care was created by Alena Anderson. She started caring for pups and created her business in 2019. MDPC is licensed with the State of Florida and is owned and operated by Alena Anderson.
Alena was perviously a court reporter for many years which has cultivated her precision and accuracy. These skills have been instilled in her to this day and carry over into the everyday functions of Marina District Pet Care.
She was also an executive assistant for a financial services company, and project manager for a large company based in Tampa, Florida and finally said, “Enough with the desk jobs!”. And now she is ready to enjoy her work with animals and is passionate about the care and happiness of each one.
Alena is a member of Pet Sitters International, National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and Certified Professional Pet Sitter organizations.
She is also Fear Free Certified, CPR and First Aid Certified.
Our Dedicated Team
MDPC has developed a team of pet-loving staff that are bonded and insured with the nationally recognized company, Pet Sitters Associates, and also CPR and First Aide Certified. Marina District Pet Care prides themselves in hand selecting our staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your pets. Each pet care professional is trained, required to pass a background check and be vetted by the owners. Our members are also trained in dog behavior, best practices while a dog is in their care, and much more. Our team members will arrive at each visit and provide the love and care your pet deserves with the knowledge for their care and wellbeing.
